The next development phase of Kytäjä Resort, located in Hyvinkää, is now underway. In addition to the owners, management, and staff, Petteri Tuominen from Wulff Consulting Oy will be participating in the project as an advisor.

Kytäjä Resort’s Business Manager, Susanna Saastamoinen, explains that although significant investments have been made in accommodation services at Kytäjä in recent years, the company’s goal is to further develop existing operations and assess potential new business opportunities.

“During the development project, we will refine Kytäjä Resort’s strategy and define the key focus areas and methods that will support further growth in the region,” says Saastamoinen. “Kytäjä is a highly promising area with year-round growth potential, which we are excited to develop further together with various stakeholders.”

Kytäjä Resort’s operations are centered around Lake Kytäjärvi. Next to Kytäjä Golf are the 18-room Törölä, the semi-detached house Mäntylä, and the Uni Villa Studios and Suites. On the opposite side of the lake, near the former Kytäjä Manor area, are the 150-seat banquet and conference venue Kartanon Talli, the historic Blacksmith’s Workshop (Kengityspaja), padel courts, the lakeside sauna Huvitus, and the waterfront villas Villa Betlehem and Villa Jerusalem.

“In addition to the current properties, the company owns undeveloped land areas, the future use of which will also be reviewed as part of the development project,” Saastamoinen adds.

Petteri Tuominen is a partner at Wulff Consulting Oy. He specializes in management consulting, strategy, and concept design, and serves as a board professional in several companies.

“Kytäjä Resort has all the prerequisites to become one of Finland’s most attractive and internationally appealing travel and leisure destinations,”  Tuominen says. “The area’s unique natural setting, top-tier golf course, high-quality and diverse accommodation options, and excellent accessibility form a strong foundation for development.”

Tuominen emphasizes the importance of the Laakkonen family’s strong commitment and clear vision for the area’s future. “We are embarking on the creation of a new-generation resort at Kytäjä with boldness and long-term dedication,” he concludes.

The development project at Kytäjä began in June in cooperation with the owners. “Going forward, for matters related to the development project, stakeholders can also contact our advisor Tuominen, who will represent us in various forums,” Saastamoinen clarifies.

Kytäjä Resort is owned by the diversified family enterprise Maatalousyhtymä (MTY) Laakkonen, which also operates agricultural activities on 350 hectares of farmland in the Kytäjä area. The MTY has been active in the region since 1994.
